Abstract

Four years have passed since Tokiko Shigematsu, a master of aesthetic novels, died from drugs. This year, women with close ties to Tokiko gathered at Guisukan and held a party to remember her. Writer Eriko, trendy writer Naomi, literary writer Tsukasa, editor Eiko, and publishing production manager Shizuko. The peaceful conversation gets swallowed up by a storm of accusations and confessions triggered by a mysterious message. Was Tokiko's death a suicide or a homicide? A full-length psychological mystery.

Born in 1964, made her debut in 1992 with ``Rokumei no Sayoko''. He won the Mystery Writers of Japan Award for ``Eugenia,'' the Eiji Yoshikawa New Writer's Award and the Bookstore Award for ``Night Picnic,'' the Shugoro Yamamoto Award for ``What Happened in the Courtyard,'' and the Naoki Award and the Bookstore Award for ``Bees and Distant Thunder.'' He is also the author of many other books, including ``Empire of Light'' and ``Annihilation.''
