Abstract

Fourth-grader Haruto is set to go camping with his mom's new husband, essentially his "new dad". Setting up tents, fishing, cooking - the two of them fumble and fail at everything. They are often helped by another parent-child duo they meet at the campsite. However, when Haruto learns about the complicated circumstances this seemingly happy, camp-savvy pair is facing, he begins to reflect anew on the concept of 'father and son'.
