Abstract

My father was browsing the fresh fish section of the supermarket when he saw crabs priced at 80 yen each and muttered, ``Isn't that cheaper than a bug?
'' It's been a year since my husband's penis wouldn't fit. An autobiographical essay that collects fragments of a “slightly unusual” life has finally been published as a book! A personal novel ``My Husband's Dick Won't Go In'' that depicts the author's true story. The shocking relationship quickly spread through word of mouth, and since its release in January 2017, it has sold 130,000 copies (as of December 2017), making it an unusual debut. Shufu Kodama's long-awaited second debut is a collection of short stories based on the one-shot and serialization "Orphans" published in "Quick Japan" magazine. It depicts the author's life experiences, including his family, work, and other experiences. Born in a ``dead land'' with nothing, his parents' home was burglarized many times, and he was the prey of door-to-door salespeople. In a junior high school graduation collection, he was ranked number one in the rankings of ``people who are likely to die early'' and ``people who seem to have a lot of secrets.'' Living with my husband in a ``smelly new house'' where even the movers say, ``This is the best,'' while holding their noses with their cuffs. Perhaps it's because of his innate temperament, but the events that took place in the "land of the end" caused him to be embroiled in a spectacular disaster.
No stores, no culture, no entertainment, just endless fields and grasslands, forests full of fallen trees, and a dark sea. The closed-off "land of the end" is the "land of Omoshiro. In this "slightly unusual" autobiographical essay, he describes the sights he has seen and his refracted feelings as they are.
