Abstract
Muneyoshi Yanagi, deeply associated with a unique folk craft movement and Pure Land Buddhism, shed light on Kibutsu Buddha and focused on Myokonin. This book is a laborious work that uncovers Yanagi's influence on Japanese thought while referring to his extensive academic traces, social connections, and Pure Land faith (Buddhist studies). Although there have been books on Yanagi as a folk craft movement activist, this work primarily unfolds around his stance of seeking the basis of Mingei aesthetics in Pure Land thought.
