Abstract

No one can read this and　not be brought to tears by　the end of this love story. A full-length moving novel from a popular screenwriter.

Makoto, a budding architect, and Hina, who　works in a café, just happen to meet one day　because it’s raining outside—and fall in love.
The two live a blissful life together in a　Kamakura seaside town. Makoto wants to　build a dream house for Hina, who has no　family. To　make this dream come true, he’s　working hard to become a famous architect.　But one rainy day the two are nearly killed in a　motorcycle accident.
When they open their eyes, a man and woman
wearing funeral dress appear in front of them,
calling themselves the “Guides.” Between　them, Makoto and Hina are given twenty years　more to live, but it’s the beginning of a cruel　and painful time where they forced to feed off　each other’s life forces.

Author’s Information

Born in 1983 in Kanagawa. Screenwriter and author.
Authored screenplays such as for the TV drama series “Switch Girl!!” and “Nobunaga Concerto,” and the movie “Color Me True.” His literary debut work entitled, “My lover like cherry blossoms,” released in 2017, sold more than four hundred and fifty thousand copies. This work was followed in by “This Love is the most beautiful rain in the world.” Both have drawn a tremendous reaction from the public.
