Abstract

A book that explores the charm of whiskey and whiskey-based cocktails. From standard cocktails that have become standard over a long history to completely original creative cocktails, all of the cocktails featured here are created by famous bartenders active in Japan and abroad. You can enjoy the differences in cocktail philosophy and individuality expressed in cocktails, such as ingredients, quantities, and processes. Explains how to enjoy (drink) whiskey other than cocktails, as well as basic whiskey knowledge such as ingredients, types, manufacturing processes, and production areas. In addition, there are food pairings that introduce food pairings that go well with whiskey and how to enjoy them, bottles recommended for cocktail bases used in the cocktails featured in this book, and bartenders who are familiar with whiskey explaining how to drink them. We introduce a wide range of whiskey charms, including recommended bottles.

Author’s Information

After working as an editor for the whiskey magazine "Whiskey World", became a writer specializing in bars and cocktails. Edited and authored "The Art of Advanced Cocktail", "Standard Cocktails With a Twist" (Asahiya Publishing), "Standard Cocktails Spun by a Leading Bartender", "Let's Go to the Bar", and "Whiskey Highball Encyclopedia", "Mocktails & Low ABV Cocktails", and "Gin Cocktails" (Studio Tac Creative). In 2019, participated in the documentary film "YUKIGUNI" as an advisor.
