Abstract

● Consider optimal actions and policies based on data When it comes to "children's education," parents tend to talk about it based on their own experience or act on the information around them. Economics is used to eliminate such "preconceptions" and derive results through evidence-based logical analysis. Currently, it is possible to obtain various data, and there are an increasing number of cases where companies and other organizations solve problems based on evidence. Discussions based on this data are also becoming more active in the field of education. ・A lot of data has been accumulated, and the number of data and analysis cases in Japan has also increased. A feature of this book is that it includes many analyses of Japan as well as overseas research. ・Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, home learning and ICT education have increased. We try to analyze the impact of this as much as possible. Content that matches the reader's interest, such as "Is academic background superior in terms of data?", "How necessary is the role of the family?", and "Was relaxed education effective?"
