Abstract
The invention of "numbers" is said to date back to the ancient Indus civilization over 2000 years ago, and it became globally widespread due to its simplicity. However, when we refer to "numbers," they can be classified based on their characteristics, such as "prime numbers," "natural numbers," "integers (including zero)," "rational numbers," "irrational numbers," "exponents," and "logarithms." Additionally, there are concepts like "geometric numbers" and "magic squares," and even the mathematical constant "pi" (π) is a type of number. This book focuses on the essence of "numbers" itself, particularly their mysterious properties, to delve into the nature of "numbers."
