Abstract

My great-grandfather had only a few gray hairs, which were fluffy on his head.
The eyes are small, but they move well.
The mouth is wrinkled because it has no teeth.
He wears a white shirt and long underpants, a brown wool belly band, and large socks. So he's almost lying in bed.
Then... Although he's an adult, he wears paper pants just like his younger brother. That can't be helped...
After all, my great-grandfather is 101 years old!

This picture book is based on a true story about the interactions between a great grandpa who survives 101 years and his great grandson who takes over his life.

Author’s Information

Born in Gifu Prefecture. After working as an elementary, middle, and high school school nurse and counselor, he became a clinical psychologist. After being exposed to stumbling blocks and hesitations, and the strength to live that comes from them, he began writing picture books and stories. Many of his works express or imagine what is in his heart.
This work won the 10th Picture Book Publishing Award in the adult picture book category.
