Abstract

In Japan, it is said that one in five people suffers from mental illnesses, such as depression and schizophrenia. The spread of the coronavirus has further accelerated this trend. Our daily lives are surrounded by various stressors. Without knowing how to cope with stress, such as anxiety and irritation, neither work nor personal life can go smoothly. Indeed, research shows that during times of crisis, the mental state of human beings can worsen difficult situations, often becoming a significant obstacle in itself. Therefore, this book covers scientifically proven and concrete actions to protect one's mind and restore mental energy in a stressful environment, based on experiments in cutting-edge fields such as psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral economics at leading institutions like Stanford University and the University of California. With this, one can cope with any stress. In an era when mental health is often compromised, this book is a must-have for everyone.
