Abstract

Following a mysterious voice, Kamo travels back in time from 2018 to 1960 trying to save his wife from a preordained death that had taken the lives of her family for years. Kamo is told that he must save her life by uncovering the truth behind the "Tragedy of the Death Field," in which his wife's ancestors, the Ryuzen family, were murdered and most of the family members died in a landslide that later occurred. The time limit is four days before the landslide engulfs everything. Can Kamo return to the year 2018 by uncovering the real culprit behind an impossible crime that takes place in the closed house?

Born in 1984 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. A graduate of Kyoto University, Hojo debuted in 2019 with "The Time and Space Traveler's Sandglass," which won the 29th Tetsuya Ayukawa Award. Her second full-length novel, "KOTO NO RAIHOSHA The Lonely Island Visitor," was ranked No. 1 in the "Top 10 SR Association Mysteries of 2020," and her third novel, "MEITNTEI NI TANBI NARU SHI WO A Sweet Death for a Great Detective," was selected as a candidate for the 23rd Authentic Mystery Grand Prize.
