Abstract
The number of ‘developmental disorders’ is said to have increased tenfold in the last 13 years. Recently, as words such as ADHD and Asperger's have become more popular among the general public, the rate of visits to hospitals has increased, and the number of people who feel that they, their children or their families may have a developmental disorder has also increased.
In recent years, terms such as ‘grey zone’ and ‘child of concern’, which refer to people and children who may have a developmental disorder, have become so common that they have become a topic of great interest.
This book provides correct knowledge and up-to-date information on developmental disabilities, as well as illustrations and easy-to-understand explanations on how to support and cope with those around them.
It explains the background and procedures for thinking about the words and actions of people with developmental disabilities that they are concerned about and that people around them are also concerned about, such as how people think and behave and what they say, as well as the coping methods that the person can take and the support methods for those around them,
The lecture also provides concrete examples of what the person can do to cope with the situation and how to support those around them, as well as how to be prepared for the situation.
