Abstract

We live in an age of rapid globalization. That is why we must know the world situation in the business world. To understand and talk about the world situation, "geopolitics" is essential! This book will enable you to "converse and explain geopolitics just by looking at special illustrations." It will be taught by Professor Shinji Okuyama, a leading expert in geopolitics. Six concepts necessary for geopolitics Based on the "six concepts" advocated by Professor Okuyama, we will learn about the current world from a geopolitical perspective! For example, there is the concept of realism. In geopolitics, it is the idea that what determines a country's behavior on the international stage is not ideology, charismatic leaders, or public opinion, but real military and economic power. Masashi Okuyama
Born in Yokohama in 1972. Geopolitical and strategic scholar. Ph.D. in Strategic Studies. Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for International Geopolitics. Visiting Professor at Tama University Graduate School.

After graduating from the University of British Columbia (BA), he studied under Dr. Colin Gray, a leading authority on strategic studies (and nuclear strategy advisor to the Reagan administration), at the Reddink Graduate School in the UK. He is expected to be a leading geopolitical scholar, and his blog "I Learned Geopolitics in the UK" has attracted the attention of many experts both in Japan and abroad, introducing the latest strategic theories. He currently teaches geopolitics and strategic theory at educational institutions such as the Ministry of Defense and universities. He also translates international relations and strategic studies, and holds seminars on international politics for young people.
