Toshihiro Sugiyama, Professor, Edogawa University, PhD (Economics) Born in Tokyo in 1969. Graduated from Seiko Gakuin High School, Aoyama Gakuin University Faculty of Economics, Graduated from Waseda University Graduate School of Finance, and Saitama University Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences Doctoral Program. Engaged in research and development and consulting in the field of finance for many years at a city bank think tank. During this time, he has held concurrent positions such as visiting professor at Ritsumeikan University MOT Graduate School, researcher at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering, and financial specialist at the Kyoto City Accounting Office, and has been deeply involved in both theory and practice in the field of finance. Since 2018, he has been a professor in the Department of Management and Sociology, Faculty of Sociology, Edogawa University, where he teaches courses such as the Basics of Financial Business and Financial Planner Training Seminars. He is a certified analyst at the Japan Securities Analysts Association, a member of the Securities Economics Society, and a member of the Japan Society of Finance. His books (including co-authored and supervisory) include "Basic Textbook of Finance" and "Understanding the Fundamentals and Mechanisms of Finance through Terminology" (both published by the Japan Management Association Management Center), "A Book that Makes Finance Easy to Understand (Supervised)" (Kank Publishing), "Misunderstandings and Miscalculations in Japanese Finance" (Keiso Shobo), and "The Degree of Competitiveness in the Banking Industry" (Nihon Hyoronsha).
