Abstract

In the year 201X AD.

One day, out of nowhere, a new threat to humanity, the 'Kaijinn' began to appear.

In response to these Kaijinn, mysterious warriors known as 'Heroes' emerged.

Though their battles are concealed from society, dismissed as urban legends or unidentified acts of terror, the truth behind them is gradually coming to light.

On Earth, the strange battles between Kaijinn, Heroes, and humans are about to begin

In the Far East, Japan—the only country in the world where neither Kaijinn nor Heroes have appeared—the final Hero is about to be born.

With only a butterfly mask to hide his face and clad in silver tights, this conspicuous macho man in modern society is Masquerade.

Because he handled the Hero appointment in a half-asleep state, he acquired the strength of ten "Heroes" and an appearance that doesn't fit with Japanese norms. His true identity, however, is that of a reclusive individual.

Because his new appearance is so different from his original one, no one can discern his true identity. Since he was originally a recluse, no one finds his activities unusual. With combat power far exceeding that of ten "Heroes" and a mysterious superpower capable of pulverizing Kaijinn with a single fingertip, there are no enemies who can stand against him.
All the hardships that a tokusatsu hero might face are like insignificant stones by the roadside for him.

The only things that cause him trouble are:

・The urge to urinate
・The natural environment
・How to maneuver in human society to avoid being rejected as a Hero
・An appearance so changed that he can't show it to his family
・Kaijinn with names that are oddly far from serious
・The performance needed to make Kaijinn suffer
・Maintaining a comfortable recluse lifestyle
・The constant shouting of his mom coming from the other side of the door.

Unlike other Heroes who continue to fight on serious stages, Masquerade lives in his own comedy dimension.

With common sense fading from daily life and the world becoming more nonsensical, he loses his body and can’t even show his true self to his family. To fully embrace his reclusive life, Hideo Anaguma continues to fight in a laid-back manner as the Silver Tights Hero, Masquerade!
