Abstract

Recommended by Gen Bando, Director of Asahiyama Zoo! "It's not just that the cat (Subaru) is cute. This book will make you think deeply about facing life." The 365-day activities of the NPO "Nyantomo Network Hokkaido," which rescues many cats and connects them with new families, are depicted through the eyes of the organization's mascot cat, Subaru. "Nyantomo Network Hokkaido" continues to protect cats, traveling all over the vast Hokkaido. They rescue stray cats and homeless cats, provide them with the necessary care and treatment, and train them to get used to people before transferring them to their "forever families (new owners)." At times, there are more than 100 rescued cats at Nyantomo. Nyantomo's mission is to find a chance for all of these cats to find happiness with their forever families. ★Asahiyama Zoo Director Gen Bando, Ministry of the Environment Nature Conservation Officer Yasunobu Takenaka, and the representative of "Nyantomo Network Hokkaido" also included a roundtable discussion on "life" between cats, humans, animals, and more!
