Abstract

Eat local food while backpacking in 30 countries around the world! This comic essay introduces the delicious and unusual foods encountered in each place, from street food to traditional cuisine, home cooking, sweets, drinks, and seasonings. On a trekking tour in Laos, he enjoys a bowl of glutinous rice called "Khao Niao" served on a banana leaf, and during a rest stop on a bicycle trip in Paraguay, he relaxes with "Chipa", a tapioca flour cheese bread, and "Terere", an iced mate tea. Originally from Aichi Prefecture. He loves traveling, and saves up his travel expenses to go on medium to long trips. He mostly travels overseas, and prefers slow journeys that gradually get closer to his destination by land or sea. His hobby is drinking alone. His favorite food is kebab sandwiches. His favorite snack is marinated firefly squid.
