Abstract
A picture book that vividly depicts a year in a greenhouse from seedlings to bright red ripened strawberries, as well as the bonds of a family. Himari is proud of her grandfather's strawberry greenhouse. Every day, the whole family takes care of the strawberries. One day, her friend Kaho comes to visit, but she is afraid of the bees buzzing around the greenhouse... This picture book vividly depicts the blessings of nature that surround a single life, and the bonds of a family. Also recommended for seasonal read-alouds. At the end of the book, there is a page explaining the process of "how delicious strawberries are made"! This will further broaden children's interest in strawberries, which they love. "Watching non-human life grow throughout the year is an irreplaceable experience for children." - Author Muranaka Rie (excerpt from the afterword)
