Abstract
◆Humans have an urge to "hurry up for an answer"
◆How should we deal with this urge?
◆Introducing techniques for making "better decisions" from the perspective of social psychology
Do you have the "ability to tolerate ambiguity"?
Humans are not good at ambiguous situations. This is because they feel anxiety and, in some cases, danger to their lives when they cannot predict "what will happen next". However, in our daily lives, there are many ambiguous and uncertain scenes, such as "information overload", "indecisiveness", and "first-time experiences".
When this happens, humans rush for an answer and try to get out of the ambiguous situation and avoid discomfort, but this does not necessarily lead to "better decisions". So how can we make calm decisions even in ambiguous situations and get closer to a better future?
This book will answer this question. In each chapter, in addition to knowledge and ideas about social psychology that can be used in daily life, the book also clearly introduces academic background such as behind-the-scenes research and unique experimental results. The content will also satisfy your intellectual curiosity. This book will give you an opportunity to reconsider your way of thinking and behavior while deepening your knowledge.
