Abstract

Tanaka Akimitsu, also known as Muhoan, runs an antique art shop called "Yumeido" in Nara, and every day he welcomes his guests with seasonal flowers blooming in the fields, placed in antique utensils. From a young age, he developed his own unique aesthetic sense while interacting with connoisseurs and scholars such as Matsunaga Jian, Kawase Mukyutei, and Tayama Hounan, and he also enjoys tea ceremonies with a generous heart, using art and tea utensils related to the ancient capital of Nara. This book contains "In Search of Wild Flowers," which Tanaka wrote for the Tanko textbook "Chabana" in 2012.
