Author’s Information

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1973, he is a teacher in the Science Education Research Department at the Elementary School Attached to the University of Tsukuba.
He spent 17 years researching science instruction as an elementary school teacher in Yokohama before assuming his current position in 2015.
He serves as an officer for the Japan Association for the Study of Elementary Science Education and as an editorial board member for *Science Education* (published by the Japanese Association for Science Education).
He is also involved in the production of NHK programs such as *Science in 5 Minutes*, and so on.
Additionally, he hosts the weekly podcast *Chatty Science*, sharing stories related to science lessons.
He has authored and co-authored numerous books.
