Author’s Information
Graduated from the Faculty of Fisheries, Nagasaki University. President and CEO of Uekatsu Fisheries Co., Ltd. Visiting professor at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. Commonly known as Uekatsu.
While still a student, he worked in the fishing industry in Nomozaki, Nagasaki Prefecture, and traveled around Japan's fishing villages. He has an unusual career as a fisherman and a fisheries bureaucrat, and is known as a "fish evangelist." He currently has a YouTube channel called "Uekatsu-ryu Sakana-do Icchokusen."
