Born in Tokyo. Made his debut as a manga artist in his third year of high school. Notable works include "Happy Mania" (1995, Shodensha) and "Hataraki Man" (2004, Kodansha). Won the 29th Kodansha Manga Award for "Sugar Sugar Rune" (2003), a fantasy manga serialized in the girls' manga magazine "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha). Won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 23rd Japan Media Arts Festival, sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, for "Nose-Choking Gentleman Recollections" (Shodensha). Currently, he is serializing "Go Happy Mania" in "FEEL YOUNG" (Shodensha).
