Author’s Information

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from Meiji University’s School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences, she worked as a web developer at an IT company. In 2019, she founded Senkyu Inc., a brand specializing in matcha products, and has since developed a wide variety of matcha sweets under the Senkyu label. Through online shops and department stores, she brings the delights of matcha to people across Japan.
Having experienced firsthand how matcha and the tea ceremony transformed her lifestyle and mindset, she shares their appeal on social media, inspiring others to discover the joy of matcha through tasting, café visits, and daily rituals. She has appeared on Japanese TV programs such as Geki Rare-san wo Tsuretekita (TV Asahi) and Shuichi (Nippon TV) as a self-proclaimed “matcha enthusiast.”
