Abstract

One day, a grandpa who is feeling down receives a gift from an old friend. When he opens the box, ten cute ghosts come out. Thanks to the cute ghosts, the grandfather feels much better. However, that night, the grandfather falls ill with a fever. The oldest ghost goes to the hospital to get a doctor. This is a very cute story about the ghosts' thoughts.

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1940. Picture book author and artist. His works include the "Big Octopus Maston" series (Gyosei), "Let's Play, Mummy" and "Knock and Knock" (PHP Institute), "Stroll with Dad" and "Tsutomu and the Magic Bus" (Kyoiku Gageki), "The Little Bear and the Two Monsters" (Doshinsha), and the "10 Ghosts" series (Hikari no Kuni). He won the Erba Award at the Bologna Children's Book Fair for "The Ghost and the Children's King" (PHP Institute), and the 29th Hirosuke Fairy Tale Award for "Tsutomu and the Cat's Day Fairy" (Komine Shoten).
