Wasedadaigaku hōgakubu sotsugyō-go, sararīman seikatsu o okurinagara manga no seisaku o hajimeru. 1974-Nen ni `biggukomikku' no dai 13-kai biggukomikku-shō ni nyūsen shite mangakka debyū. 1983-Nen ni happyō shita ōrukarākomikku “hātokakuteru” (`shūkan mōningu' rensai) de, tokai-tekina danjo no shōtosutōrī ga ninki to naru. Genzai `biggukomikku zōkan-gō'(Shōgakukan) ni “Natsuno no Kyō” rensai-chū.

Born in Kobe in 1945. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Waseda University, he began creating manga while working as a salaryman. In 1974, he made his debut as a manga artist after winning the 13th Big Comic Award from Big Comic. His 1983 full-color comic Heart Cocktail (serialized in Weekly Morning), a short story about urban men and women, became popular. He is currently serializing Natsu no Kyo in Big Comic Special Edition (Shogakukan).
