Author’s Information
He is the owner and chef of Restaurant Omiya in Asakusa, Tokyo. After training in French cuisine, he became a sous chef at a hotel in New Zealand. He then traveled by car around Europe and Africa, studying cuisine and culture before returning to Japan. He opened Restaurant Omiya in 1982, and it has remained as popular as ever for over 30 years. In 2007, he opened a second restaurant in the Shin-Marunouchi Building in Marunouchi, Tokyo. His books include "Really Delicious Western Food" (Sekai Bunka Publishing).
