Abstract

Melvy, who can see fairies, is a temporary house maid who travels from one estate to another.
Her current job is to look after Adam Spencer, a soldier who has come to spend his winter holidays at a villa, and his adopted daughter, Caitlin.
Her contract is for one month. The temperamental girl, who has caused many maids to quit, also seems to be able to see fairies.
This is the story of a soldier who has difficulty expressing his emotions, his adopted daughter, and a maid with the mysterious power to hear the inner thoughts of others, as they spend a winter month together in a land where animism is still prevalent.
