Abstract
"What are you even living for?" In a village at the foot of a mountain not even shown on maps, Suwa, the daughter of a charcoal burner, lived with her father. Dazai Osamu's "The Fish-Clothed Chronicle" is vividly illustrated by Nekosuke, the hugely popular illustrator who has drawn beautiful people and animals for book covers, games, and CD jackets, and who also illustrated Nakajima Atsushi's "The Moon Over the Mountain" and Niimi Nankichi's "Red Dragonfly" in this series. A gem of a collaboration series that fuses classic literature with beautiful modern illustrations. A book you'll want to display on your own bookshelf. A book you'll want to give as a gift to someone special. This is one of the books in the "Maiden's Bookshelf" series that will make you feel that way.
