Abstract

E-mails from Fuyuha, a missing classmate from middle school, began arriving one after another to the members of their former group.
Miya, Keiko, Takako, Sabashima, Higashi-Hagi… Now 35 years old, these former classmates were each struggling with their own dark realities.
Divorce, layoffs, drug addiction, extramarital affairs…
Seeking clues to solve the mystery of the e-mails, Miya visits Fuyuha’s mother.
There, she learns that their former homeroom teacher, Asahimura, has gone missing.
As they are swept along by the turbulent currents of fate and finally uncover the truth behind Fuyuha’s disappearance, what thoughts cross their minds?
