The author of this photobook has met all 48 species of salamanders living in Japan, by visiting all their habitats, which means its home.
He tells us the crisis situation of been decreasing of the numbers of salamanders by industrial developments of waterside area and woods, environmental water pollutions, invasions by other non-native animals coming to its habitat.

Author’s Information

Born in 1972, Kobe city, Hyogo prefecture, Japan.
A Nature photographer who tries to take pictures of ordinary lives as amphibians, reptiles and freshwater fish and so on as his lifeworks.
He is also the head and general director of the organization "AZ Relief", they assists to start up any facilities related living things from Aqualium to Zoo.
