After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto University and working at a construction consulting company, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Kobe University. He has worked in psychiatric hospitals, medical juvenile training schools, and girls' juvenile training schools as a child psychiatrist, and has been in his current position since 2016.
Learning about the reality that many boys in juvenile training schools had weak cognitive functions, he devised "CogTrain," a training program to improve children's cognitive functions.
