Abstract

In the Yamatoba Empire, where two races, humans and night demons, have existed since time immemorial. Iku, whose hair and eyes are as pale as white snow, is mistreated by her family because of her strange, demon-like appearance. She is treated as little more than a servant until the day she is sold to a man for money, a fate she thought impossible to escape from... One day, however, the next head of a prominent family, Subaru, learns of Iku's secret and offers her a marriage proposal.
